Also Perl is "write-only". Try reading your lotto script in 18 months after finishing it!
This is just an ingenious way of bringing retribution on programmers that do not write copious explanatory comments, and have a penchant for deviously clever implementations. But I suspect RR could be the same if you hide enough snippets of code under enough objects scattered here and there. And regexps are brilliant but hardly for human consumption in either language, yet I defy anyone to come up with a better way.
I think the rule in perl is "just because you can do it that way doesn't mean it should be done that way. Eschew obfuscation!"
