As you are working in Mac OS X you can get an idea what is wrong by using the Console (you find this one in the utilities folder), open the crash log for Revolution and see where it is crashing or what is missing.

I have Mac OS 10.1.3. When I double click on Rev 2.1 RC 1, nothing happens; I see a zoom animation, but the app never starts.
Is 2.1 compatible with 10.1.3?
