USBIO3 MacBrick

I need to find out how to access the USB port and send the serial 
commands to a MacBrick USBio3 for light sensors and external switches. 
Does any one know how? I did this awhile ago in SC but on an older make 
with a printer port and rs232 to an x10 module. But the MacBrick is a 
USB cable and I have no idea.
