Using the Mac OS X color picker, there is a palette for Developers (maybe installed by the Dev TOols CD?). On that palette:
controlShadowColor = 147,147,147
I think it is 172,172,172 for Mac as well. I just tested this on some fields that were showing the thick black lines after building the standalone on OS X. In the development environment (where everything looks fine) I put the effective bottomColor of the field and it was 172,172,172.
