I have to chime in here as well because we also develop for Irix machines. I have not yet been able to get any of the 2.x.x versions to even load past the splash screen. It loads the splash and hangs until I kill the process. I am still having to rely on 1.1.1 for Irix development, which is stable but lacking the new features (which I NEED to use there).
