Alejandro,
I haven't visited the link, but have some experience writing PDF files from Metacard. One thing I'd like to point out : it's VERY important to follow closely the structure of a PDF file, as described in the PDF format tutorial (don't have the URL at hand right now, but it's available on Adobe website). That format has several requirements that can lead some versions of Acrobat Reader to detect errors and refuse to open the file, if they're not followed. There is some tolerance on some requirements (like having the right amount of bytes in the file included in the trailer) but nevertheless, the more closely your file follows the PDF format requirements, the better. Hope that helps, JB > Hi everyone, > > Looking in the web for insights for writing PDFs > I found this link: > > <http://www.mactech.com/articles/mactech/Vol.16/16.03/DynamicPDF/> > > that shows this code to write a PDF file: > > %PDF-1. > 1 0 obj<</Pages 2 0 R>> > 2 0 obj<</Kids[<</Parent 2 0 > R/Resources<</Font<</R > <</Subtype/Type1/BaseFont/Arial>> > >>>>/Contents<<>>stream > BT/R 14 > 1 0 0 1 72 720 Tm > Tf(Hello World!)Tj > endstream > >>]>> > trailer<</Root 1 0 R>> > > but everytime that I've tried to open this code > as a PDF file, Acrobat Reader tells me that the file > has errors that could not be repaired and skips the > file... > > If could visit the link, please read the article > and try it by yourself. > > What I'm doing wrong? > > Thanks in advance. > > al > > ===== > Visit my site: > http://www.geocities.com/capellan2000/ > Search the mail list: > http://mindlube.com/cgi-bin/search-use-rev.cgi > > __________________________________ > Do you Yahoo!? > Free Pop-Up Blocker - Get it now > http://companion.yahoo.com/ > _______________________________________________ > use-revolution mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-revolution _______________________________________________ use-revolution mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-revolution
