You can use swf files by using a rev movie player object.

Because it uses quicktime to render you are limited by what version of quicktime is installed (so no linux)... latest (6.4) only supports flash 5 files.

It would be great if you could easily communicate directly with the flash movie & share data etc without some sort of client/server setup.

Has anyone tried detecting a flash actionscript 'fscommand' from rev? possible?

Or how about native support of flash files from rev? ;)
