This approach can be especially handy for paths with varying speeds and curves. I still lean toward 'move ... without messages' and moveStopped for straight line paths, though. Maybe a hybrid scheme can be used in some cases.
Of course, if there are any blocking 'move' bugs, the set the loc and send in time is a good way to avoid 'move'.
