I wasn't. I added that, but it didn't help.
So what I did for now was after cloning the stack I added a
send "openCard" to stack newStackName
and now it is working.
But...I wonder what is blocking the openCard message from naturally being sent?

Do you by any chance have your cloned stack invisible at the time of cloning? When stack is invisible, not all message are sent in my experience.
