I'm not sure what you mean. You might want to look into putting the tab into a shared group (background).

I think this is exactly what he needs. I believe he wants to switch cards while showing the same tab. If the same tabbed button is placed on all those cards and the same tab is active (which you can switch from script), user will not know that you are on a different card.
