Have you tried:
putting fld "html" into zingText
setting the HTMLText of fld "offScreenField" to zingText
Then after that's in an off screen field putting the RTFText of fld "offScreenField" into ratBoyVar
I discovered that I needed to try it in steps using an off screen field in the middle of the process.
