So how about this:

on dragEnter
  set the acceptDrop to true
end dragEnter

on dragDrop
  set the droppedFiles of me to the dragData
  send "NotifyUser" to me in 20 milliseconds
end dragDrop

on NotifyUser
  answer "You dropped these items on me:" & cr & cr & (the droppedFiles
of me)
end NotifyUser


That should work...
