Howdy List:

I have yet another issue with Win98 [sigh] that I'm hoping someone may be
able to solve...

Our app is designed to launch a second app using the standard

  open process path_to_xyz.exe for neither

Admittedly, this app was built using the 2.4 version of MetaCard (is this
the same as Rev 1.1?), however it works fine and reliably when run locally.
When the app is run under Win98 from a remote volume, it runs fine but will
not launch the second app. The error returned in the result is "Not opened"
(now this is helpful). Checking the path to the EXE verifies the existence
of the EXE files (true). And the second app also launches as expected on
Win2K and WinXP. The problem apparently occurs only under Win98.

Any ideas on how to make launching from a remote volume work correctly?

Thanks & Regards,
