These people giving you dirty looks are elitists who would like to see the average person never learn to program -- or, better still, to make them suffer for it by having to learn some nasty systems programming language.
This gets to the heart of things -- as a community, do we want Rev to maintain its simplicity or do we want it to start looking and feeling like all those other languages we chose not to use when we use Rev?
