I know people see this, but it has never once happened to me.
I also frequently get empty lines appended to scripts. It has been a recurrent issue since the first beta of Rev 1! Way back at beta 3 I sent Kevin Miller a reproducible recipe that allowed him to fix the problem. The recipe doesn't work any more (good!) so it is not entirely relevant now, but it may help Geoff to track own the current issue. Here it is:
I see extra lines at the end of scripts all the time. The common feature is that the scripts are short, i.e. typically under 100 lines, and the number of extra lines added is in the several 100's (e.g. 2-500). So, if Geoff has few or no short scripts he's unlikely to see this.
