I am just releasing a simple stack to help people here install and setup both MetaCard engine and LibCGI in remote locations using FTP access. Stack will ask for connection info like your username, password, FTP server and root folder to upload things. Then it will ask for the MC engine and for LibCGI.rev file. Stack will upload and install files. There are two buttons:
"Install MC engine": Ask for you to locate the MC engine file. Upload to server and CHMOD 755 it.
"Install LibCGI": Ask for you to locate the LibCGI.rev file. It will upload it. It will create 'stacks' subfolder (CHMOD 777), it will create error.html and it will create launcher.cgi.
I choosed to rename form.cgi to launcher.cgi for I think it suits better it's function. It's what we actually use to launch CGI-Stackfiles...
I would like feedback on this... I am a little lousy on unix perms, so I just CHMOD all files 755 and the folder 777.
Both error.html and launcher.cgi are created by LibFTPURLUpload, the file contents are inside stack custom properties.
You can fetch the CGITOOL stack from http://public.soapdog.org named cgitool.zip
or from message box type
go stack url "http://homepage.mac.com/soapdog/rev/cgitool.rev"
Cheers Andre
