Yes.
If the properties are independent of each other and of built-in properties, you can simply access them as you would built-in properties. You don't need any getter or setter.
If you want to check the value, use setprop.
If you need to do some I/O or set dependent properties or custom properties, use setprop.
A dependent property need not be real and can be calculated on the fly with getprop.
You can store values as properties or as ephemeral values in local variables.
