seriously, i had bad troubles and now do these things: * use long cluttery lines with lots of quoted literals as opposed to using cool Winkleresque functions
* set explicitVariables to true and declare all variables inside each handler * put anything like (me, the target, the last, etc) into a local variable and use that as a reference. it may not help, but it sure feels better! sometimes the error messge reflects a real problem, like an inadvertant deletion, but doesn't find that problem. otherwise, as the man pointed out, jinking the script helps. as an apprentice level scripter, one does feel diffident about offering advice, but what harm, eh?
