I haven't tested this but what happens if you supply all three 
parameters to the revDatabaseColumnByNumber function?

There is also an inconsistency in the docs, so try varying the function 
names:
revDatabaseColumnByNumber, revDatabaseColumnNumbered or 
revdb_columnbynumber
