Yes, this is definitely the problem... I just assume that it works for clients outside the LAN, and proceed with development.

You probably cannot see the port forwarding from inside.

Put the client on a computer (such as a notebook) that is isolated from the LAN. Have it dial up to get Internet. Then access 81.6.14.88:1029.
