I ran into this doing my presentation at the RMS - I had to resurrect my laptop, got OSX 10.2 and rev 2.2.1 installed just before my demo, and couldn't get anything to work. Afterwards, once I managed to run Software Update and get up to 10.2.8 everything was fine.
Does the most recent beta run under 10.1.5? I don't have a copy of that OS to test on.
