It would be useful to offer the list some more details about what you 
are doing with your standalone. For example, when you put your 
standalone into the "program files" folder, then you can't write to 
your data files, maybe that is the reason why it won't run?
You might also try to transfer your standalone via other means then the 
usb stick, maybe it is corrupted?
What do you get when you include error reporting into your standalone?

There are of course many other possible problems, but without more 
detail its hard to help.
