The alwaysBuffer approach I have tried already, but thanks for the suggestion.
I think you're suggesting that I go invisibly to the stack and then show it. Is that what you mean? I'll try that.

Not sure if you've already checked this but I've found that most flicker is
usually caused by the alwaysBuffer of the stack being set to false. When
set to true, flicker should stop.
Also, have you already tried initializing your stack invisibly and showing
it once the init process is complete?
