using your existing smtp will usually work, as not too many servers are 
secure.. some networks (sympatico.ca in canada for example) will not 
allow their users to use an external smtp server..

what you many want to look at in the example stack is the DNS code.. when 
the user is connected to the internet, you can use their email address to 
do a dns look-up of their smtp server..
