I've experienced this with a 2.1 build on OSX.  Rev can't finish 
"loading plugins, menus" and simply hangs there.  No reason I can 
determine.  But without a reinstall, it won't finish loading.

I had to download a new copy and go through the
whole decompact & install process again...
Well, don't know what to think about that...
Never had that kind of problem with MC anyway..;
