"put $USERNAME && $COMPUTERNAME" doesn't work for me in MacOSX 10.3.5
Panther. I can do "put $USER" ($USER is in the Variable Watcher list).
Looks like the "function ComputerName" may be the tightest cross-platform
way to get the host.
