why not go the whole way and do real alpha channels (not just 8 bits!) for ANY objects including the window?
The blend only works for images and requires extra steps to apply this for buttons or fields with image overlays while a simple blend property addition to the Rev controls would solve this. Additionally, transparent patterns would be cool! Ultimately if Macs could handle non-square patterns RunRev would be really much more multiplatform... This 1bit limit would be the reason why color cursor can't have a transparency that displays normally like it should? Usually the cursor turns black... or the mask does... Last but not least, translucid menus and selections would be cool! just my 4 cents dreaming as usual ;) cheers Xavier > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of > Richard Gaskin > Sent: Tuesday, November 16, 2004 11:49 > To: How to use Revolution > Subject: Re: 8 Bit Masks? > > Scott Rossi wrote: > > Hello Rev Team: > > > > Can anyone over there weigh in on the possibility of > employing 8 bit > > window masks within stacks, as opposed to the current 1 bit > limitation? > > I know of no workaround, but would add my vote to a Bugzilla request. > > I hate to rain on Jobs' parade, but really it would indeed be > trivial for Rev to deliver all of Tiger's precious "widgets" > on 13 platforms if we had this -- and months before Tiger ships. ;) > > -- > Richard Gaskin > Fourth World Media Corporation > ___________________________________________________________ > [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.FourthWorld.com > > _______________________________________________ > use-revolution mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-revolution > _______________________________________________ use-revolution mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-revolution
