You can also cover up anything else in the screen using the systemwindow stack property (but this is not available for macs...) and then take your screenshot...
Or you can grab the window's offscreen buffer directly -- all in script, as noted in Ken Ray's handy tip titled "How to Export a Card Image (Not a Screenshot!)" at:
