I agree that the 1/2 way point would be an improvement. Looks great, though.

Any chance there could be an option, as per the request quoted below, to cancel the drag -- but at the same time, support drag-and-drop (so that if the dragged item is plopped on a compatible target, it can be moved/copied there)?

Another neat idea for a future feature would be the "poof" effect from OS X, like when you drag an icon out of the dock or some such -- drag an item out of a list box and watch it disappear?

Thanks Scott,

I find it much more intuitive now that the dragged line disappears from
the list while I'm dragging it. The only other thing I would like is
the ability to cancel a drag somehow - perhaps if you move the mouse
pointer outside the field.

Agreed, and one more nit... if you choose the Large Text/Few Lines option
you can see that when you drag line 3 up, the "insertion point line" jumps
to between line 1 and 2 too soon, IMHO. It should do that when the mouse
crosses the point which is 1/2 of the textHeight of the line. Basically what
I'm trying to say is that there is a zone that is from the vertical middle
of one line to the vertical middle of the line above it that is the "drop
region"; where the insertion line will shift between those lines when the
mouse enters it.

I hope I'm being clear; if not, let me know.

Other than that, you did an awesome job, Scott!
