Thanks, Frank. I used AppleScript to delete my folder and that seems to work.
The problem now is that it just places the folder in the Trash, and it didn't do that before. Does anyone know if there's a way to remove a specific folder from the trash using AppleScript? I tried using the empty command followed by the reference to the folder in the trash, but it didn't work. If not, I'll just empty the trash, but I thought that's probably not a very nice thing to do. Shouldn't be a big deal in this case, however.

Have you tried to move the file trash through applescript/finder and then delete it from the trash using Rev's delete file command? People usually do not have trash open, so any update delay should not be an issue.
