do you know if simply fetching the executable inside the bundle might solve this? like disassembling the bundle.... if it does not use externals then the bundle should be nothing but the executable and couple plists and configuration files.

I am not sure whether the app inside the bundle can be recognized as a proper executable when the bundle is broken. Admittedly, I haven't tried fighting this so far. Using sockets as championed by Pierre seems a better approach.
