This is true AND most Mac users will not turn it on. This avoids any chance of auto run viruses etc. The only virus I have ever had was via Microsoft Word/Excel because someone had a Visual Basic script in it (from a windows computer) SO now I allways have macro's turned off in those programs. No more viruses.......

one of the rare Mac virii was indeed the so called "autostart" virus (a looooong time ago :-)
which was activated by this anti-feature after inserting an infected CD-Rom, that's why this
is off (if still present at all) by default...
