Im sure you dont want to go as far as the force used on the keys to hit this poor user back but there's a start with code... ;) Note that I have delayed the HotKeys scripts in my stack because I was stumbled by the fact that there is no controlkey up or the likes... only DOWN! This is a huge ommision or am i in the twilight zone? Heritage code? (dare I say Mac?) ;)) As far as Jacky's references and Ro's on top: Im truelee baffled! Hardware polling externals anyone? I think the old external for HyperCard was called inkeys... Rings a bell with an old language I can't place... Last but not least the detection of which control key (and so on) was made would be even more "key"! Im sure PC stuff like this is a no brainer at all! Surely Macs can do the same - it's a matter of finding it... PRINT:INPUT() $anyone? XB -- http://MonsieurX.com/RunRev.php - nah, just stacks of utilities... > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of > Richard Gaskin > Sent: Monday, February 28, 2005 16:40 > To: How to use Revolution > Subject: Re: unlimited undo's for text fields > > MisterX wrote: > > DuhFactoid... > > > > How does a mac know it has to start without extensions if you press > > the shift key on macos? > > > > Maybe it's a new feature of osx? ;)) > > > > This is more a RunRev engine limitation than an OS limitation... > > Have you considered the possibility that perhaps the Carbon > API, like Rev, doesn't send a message when modifier keys are > down but does let you poll them? > > I haven't found verse and chapter on that (oh, how I miss the > simplicity of the 'Inside Mac' series), but I would be > interested in reading an Apple article that explains this one > way or another. > > -- > Richard Gaskin > Fourth World Media Corporation > __________________________________________________ > Rev tools and more: http://www.fourthworld.com/rev > _______________________________________________ > use-revolution mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-revolution > _______________________________________________ use-revolution mailing list [email protected] http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-revolution
