It does NOT beep... No other handlers involved!!!!!

No, Klaus. That is how it is. When switching stacks, suspendStack and resumeStack are sent. OpenCard is not sent because the card is not really being opened (it is already open). You can also trap FocusIn, if it suits you better as this one is sent always.
