Field font size on Windows

The font size given in the Text Formatting page of the properties for a field is not accurate on Windows. For example, Times New Roman 16 pt is actually 12 pt if you pull up WordPad.

Is this a known issue?

Also, it seems that Windows only antialiases text above a certain point size. Is this true?
