The docs state that it is an OS X only feature. Maybe you could
check the platform at startup and set the property accordingly.
That's what I've been doing, but it feels dirty: if it's an OS X-only
propertyy, it seems reasonable to expect that it would affect only OS
X, and should be ignored on other platforms.
It's far too commonly used to require branching code to handle it in a
platform-specific manner would it seems it could well be handled in
the engine....
