Chipp, just because Apple likes something or recommends something doesn't make it a holy artifact or the object of their affection the best choice for anyone but Apple. Apple made a decision to include a database engine as a default. Why *didn't* it select FileMaker? I think if you ask yourself that, you'll be closer to figuring out why they selected SQLite.
