Look in the Help menu -> Topics -> Menus & the menubar.
It got tucked away there in Rev 2.5 and it took everyone ages to find
it :-)

it's plain simple, just add a !c in front of the item, it will be
checked, easy ain't it?
for example:
"not checked"
then
"!cChecked!"
now... let us talk about the value of your real estate...
