I make a living with it, and have for many, many years. You can see some examples of software I've done with Revolution (and MetaCard before it) if you go to my web site and look at the "Solutions" section.
You are in the hardest phase right now -- learning a new paradigm and overcoming the older IDE you are used to. It will get much easier soon. You have to do a thought-shift.
