[rest snipped to avoid 15K moderation) Alex Here's all i found... (see below)
Im glad 4 of these features were finally fixed after major wait... But i feel there's already 4 new bugs i found including not finding what new in the docs ;) - Bad file names in the doc submenu - colorize script (in SE) doesn't return the right cursor - xp menu effects dont work - mac characters in the read mes and what's new... - Old errors in the D:\Revolution 2.6\components\save\messageboxerrorlog.txt and now the GM fix - too little too late - and it still requires revcacheGM to work - ROTFL what a joke! Im shure half of it still doesn't work (seen the reverror or message watcher diplay?) Im glad im out of that mis-supported circus... I could have done with more fixes than new features (half of which are just eye candy and not productive...) my 2 laudable and sad cents cheers Xavier NEW FEATURES This section describes the new features introduced in version 2.6 in detail. --- Spotlight support --- Use Spotlight to search within Revolution stackson Mac OS Tiger. This feature is automatic and happens in the background. --- Core Image Transition Effects --- Leverage any Core Image transition effect to provide real-time GPU visual effectson Mac OS Tiger. This feature is described and exampled in the supplied CoreImageSample stack. --- Deep masks --- Setting the windowShape property of a stack to an image with an alpha mask will cause the alpha mask to be used to provide an 8-bit mask to the window. Changing the windowShape property to difference images with an alpha mask will not cause the window to be recreated, allowing you to animate changes to the window shape. This feature works in bit depths > 8 and on all MacOS X versions, as well as Windows 2000 (all versions) and Windows XP (all versions). --- Arrays in Variable Watcher --- The Variable Watcher now displays array type variables. --- File selection overhauled --- You can now set the 'enable' menu options within file selector dialog, specify files to be selected by either extension or creator type (on Mac OS systems), select multiple files, and use a consistent syntax on all platforms - even when specifying creator types or other platform specific options. The answer folder command has been updated to use the newer Shell dialog on supporting versions of windows. --- Replace Text performance improvements --- replaceText has had its memory handling optimized meaning it should be substantially more efficient when replacing text in large strings. ISSUES ADDRESSED IN THIS VERSION For a comprehensive list of bug fixes, consult the bug reporting system, the URL can be found in the Support section under the Help menu. --- Development Environment issues Global variables are now visible after being declared, even before having a value assigned. Import snapshot no longer crashes when a small snapshot is imported. Inspector Popup menu now creates submenus when there are more than 20 controls on a card, making it easier to navigate. The Variable Watcher and Message Watcher no longer show palettes when the Script Editor is open and the Hide Palettes Preference is on. The Geometry Manager is now significantly more accurate at updating its properties during editing operations. revCopyFile is now more reliable. The Application Browser now eliminates stacks that are removed from memory immediately. --- Other issues --- List fields no longer auto focus incorrectly under certain circumstances. Answer dialogs are now automatically resized to the default OS width where possible. ----------------------------------------- Visit us at http://www.clearstream.com IMPORTANT MESSAGE Internet communications are not secure and therefore Clearstream International does not accept legal responsibility for the contents of this message.
