Dear Paul, Thanks for your feedback. The problem with describing a set of very simple manual operations is that when you write the details down, it seems very complicated. We have all had the experience of trying to learn how to operate a new VCR for example using the manual! In fact, my suggestion has absolutely nothing to do with bunches of obscure commands or dubious shortcuts, and you seem to have missed the point of the description completely. It is simply a description of how the editor could be programmed internally, and for anyone who is interested it would be better to see it at work in VB6.
But now I have the impression that my description was so poor that it was open to misinterpretation, so if you don't mind I'll post this e-mail to the List so that others can be a bit clearer on what I was trying to suggest.
