Hi, I just want to load a simple image from a file. I'm using Windows. So far I've tried these, but the image was not loaded:

put URL "binfile:/C:/image.gif" into image "displayImage"
put URL "binfile:/C://image.gif" into image "displayImage"
put URL "C:/image.gif" into image "displayImage"

Should be

put URL "binfile:C:/image.gif" into image "displayImage"

(i.e. no "/" between "binfile:" and the "C:", and only single "/" each
directory level thereafter.

(see docs for "file" - the "binfile" page doesn't include a Windows example, but the
"file" one does).

When I open an image from the development area (then it works), it says that the source of the image is C://image.gif. So why doesn't it open it in case #2?

Are you sure it has two "/"s, not just one ? I get file names like
D:/Our Documents/Alex/RunRev/Photo/IMGP0633.JPG
