Is there a way to get the system digit grouping character (i.e., the thousands separator, which is a comma in the US and a period in Europe, etc)? I can't seem to find anything.

Also, is there an easy way to add this to a number without having to munge the digits in a string? (i.e., go from "1000" to "1,000")

Thanks!
