export snapshot will save the file to disk, which you can then import.
Re repeating tile:
I guess I'd do it this way:
Import a backPattern image 128x128 (Macs can only have certain size
backpatterns). Set the back pattern of grc 'test' to it. Size grc 'test'
to the final image size. Export Snapshot the rect of grc 'test'. Import
image from the export. Clean up.
