For powepoint you have two options. 1. Save the powerpoint as png files and open in rev and use rev animation to progress through or 2. use shell or applescript to run a powerpoint player from with in rev.

As far as I can tell these are the best ways. Possibly you can save the ppt as a web page and use altBrowser to open that.
