I recently ran into this.. Depends on what you want. I'm not at the system right now, but I just tested for the number of lines in the field, if the number of lines was greater than 0 and the clickLine returned empty, then the user clicked on the last line. At that time you can do what you need with the info. In my case I just said that if the total number of lines was higher than 0 and clickLine returned empty then I would assume the user wanted to click on the last line.
