Chris' solution won't work on Mac OS X. I don't know about other
platforms. The following works for me:
on preopenCard
set the hilitedlines of fld 1 to 0
set the traversalon of fld 1 to false
end preopenCard
on openCard
set the traversalon of fld 1 to true
end openCard
