I think I saw somewhere on the Dreamhost site that they will give you a Windows server, CF etc. if you want now. They'll discourage it, but they'll do it and support it.

I think this will require OS X or Windows dedicated server.

You can see that host providers mainly use mySQL.

Even Postgre is far far away from mySQL...
mainly because of historical reasons I think.
