Although the line that doesn't make sense works! It = whatever text it
is I want to retrieve.
I have stepped through the loop in the debugger and the variables are
what they ought to be. I did fall into the i (in your eg 'k') is empty
trap once, but sorted that out.
Kids bed time now, so I will try your suggestions tomorrow.
