The only catch I can think of, Mark, is if tabs are used in an empty line of a table, or (in a weird case) some other char is used as a default column delimiter.
This would happen in the case of a list generator that does put val1 &tab& val2 &tab& val3 & cr after newList --and all the vals are emtpy.
